So yesterday, I found myself digging through 26 pages of forum posts to find a fellow Build-n-Share member's post.

Along this tour "OF DOOM!," I ran across a lot of our members' creations that I had never seen. One had not yet received any posts as response, which clearly would not have been the case had I run across it at some point.

A little while ago, as I was lying wide awake four hours after going to sleep, I had an epiphany!

And since I'm still awake (BOOOOOOO!), I've decided to share it.

We need a place to commonly showcase our non-challenge lots as members of Build-N-Share or Builders' Boulevard.

Below, members of either group may feel free to announce their lots. (If you have participated in one of the last three challenges, you are considered "a member" of Build-n-Share.)

With your lot announcement, please limit photos to just one in order to keep the thread a little more manageable; however, please go wild in linking to other forum posts, the lot, stories, or outside photo sources to show off your creation!

Let the sharing begin!

By Joining one of the Build-N-Share Challenges... note the stickied topics at the top of the fourm.... or by joining the yahoo group. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/buildersboulevard/

But I would really like you to join next weeks challenge... it starts on Wednesday and the winners are usually announced the following thursday or friday depending on number of entries.

hope that helps and hope to see you there.

This is a great idea Addict! Here's my newest lot, a beach-themed starter.

Download lot: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=424578

***Note: The treadmill isn't included in the download. I put that there while I was playing and forgot about it when I took pictures.***

A starter house (less than $16,000, but I don't remember the exact price) built on a 20x30 lot on Sun Song Ave, with an unobstructed view of the beach and water. The perfect house for a single sim or young couple who love the outdoors and want to be close to ocean activities. The outside of the house has been weathered by years of sea air, and the interior is decorated in charmingly dated beach colors.

The first floor features a kitchenette and TV/entertainment area, as well as the house's only bathroom. Upstairs is the bedroom, which comes with an attached deck to watch the sun go down over the ocean. An easel is set up in the bedroom to capture the breathtaking views on canvas.

The outside features a bamboo forest, a rock garden, and a bicycle. (Any sim that loves the ocean should want to protect it by not driving around a pollution-spouting car!)

Go ahead and download the lot and move in your sim with dreams of the beach! And remember to recommend it if you like it!

[I've personally played in this house with a sim aspiring to be a rock star and with the lifetime wish of having the perfect aquarium, and I really liked it. And I'm not just saying that. The beach is really close, as is downtown Sunset Valley. And the house is very easy to play in.]

Thanks, BT.
Hope more will start to take advantage of it. I don't have a new lot out, but when I do, I definitely will be plugging it here.

Thanks for being the first!

Please recommend if you like it, and enjoy!

Medieval Tudor:http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=427606

Lot name - Medieval Tudor (36 Sim Lane)

Final cost - $47,855 furnished

Details - A Tudor design during the Medieval period (300 A.D.-1500 A.D.) designed after an actual shop during this period. Downstairs is complete with a bike shop with bikes for both kids and teens/adults. Also in the bike shop are two chess tables and *laugh* a foosball table, although I'm pretty sure foosball was NOT around then. For shoppers' convenience, there is an outhouse outside beside the haystack. MUST HAVE HAY FOR HORSES since they're the major transportation of the medieval days. Also outside is a stream that coordinates with the stream next door, a whole lotta heather, and a couple of cherry trees.

There's plenty of space downstairs to add more rooms or rearrange to your own style.

Since houses during this period were stone on both the inside and out, the walls are stone as well as the floor. Even though per design standards during this time required only ONE wall to be painted for a tapestry look with the rest off-white, the rooms are fully painted in this build. Oh, to have the tapestries we used to have in Sims 2 since tapestries were a major interior design function back then! However, iron and wood were also major design functions, and those are included!

The furniture in the upstairs apartment has a major tapestry-like look as well as the coordinating draperies. Also, since light bulbs were not around then, both wall sconces and overhead lights are those with candles. Complete with kitchen, living room/dining room combo, bedroom, and bathroom. In the bedroom, there is an iron bed with the coordinating drapery above the bed. Even though four-posters were around back then, iron beds were more of the norm with the drapery above the headboard.

Indoor plumbing only came around in the 1800s, but I figured we'd fudge a little bit there bathroom/kitchen-wise. This is as unmodern as we can get!

Thanks, Cindi! Hoping people will start checking this thread for posts. So many other things are causing great lots to get buried. Hoping a central locale will help provide links to buried thread and help resurrect them!

And it will be even better if we're lucky enough to get stuck!

Thanks for the link.

Since I already went to the trouble of posting the pictures of my new house, I figured I'd go on and share with the rest of you.

The Ascot: My submission for Build-N-Share Weekly Challenge #2. It is the perfect starter home (less than $16,000) for your bachelor or bachelorette Sim. Not only does it come with spacious first floor rooms, it also includes a carport and a loft bedroom. Furniture is included. All furniture, wallpaper and floors that are not the norm are custom-colored in Create-A-Style by me.

The house can be downloaded at http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=143830 -- and wow, it's already had over 200 downloads as of this time. No, the Sim is not included. Please please please recommend if you do download the house. Any comments are welcome.
