Sorry... no hints here. XD
After a(n) (arguably XD) successful first season, The Mole is back!! There will be no special twists this season- however, there will be new missions, a new house, new contestants, and ultimately.... a new Mole!!!
In case you are new to The Mole, here's the basic run-down of the show:
The premise of the show is for the 13 contestants to participate in various challenges- called "Missions", in which the players will work together or against each other to try and earn points for "The Pot”, which can increase up to a maximum of
2000 points. This will end up being the final prize in the end- The winner and the Mole will split up the 2000 points (aka simpoints). The winner will get all the points that's in the pot, while the Mole gets everything that's left.
Now, one of the contestants is the Mole, out to deceive the players and out to sabotage the missions and prevent points from being added to the pot while avoiding or
deflecting suspicion. After each mission, players must complete the “Mole Quiz”, which is a series of 10 questions about the last mission, and the players must answer them according to who they think the Mole is. The player who scores the lowest on the quiz will be “Executed”, and will leave the show immediately. Of course, no one knows who the Mole is, except the Mole him/her self. The game continues in each episode until only three players are left- two contestants and the Mole. The contestant who scores the highest on the final quiz wins the game and the entire pot.
STRATEGY: The biggest part of this game is strategy- if you don’t have a strategy, you will probably be the Mole’s next victim. Everyone may have different strategies, including the Mole. One of the biggest things is not to do your best in EVERY mission- because if everyone except the Mole tried their best, then it would be obvious who the Mole is, since they would be the only one doing bad-ish on the missions. So don’t expect there to be all 2000 points in the pot at the end, especially when everyone is sabotaging the missions.
The contestants are trying to get the other contestants to think THEY are the mole, since they don’t want anyone else to guess the Mole right. Some players strategies may be to do horrible all the time; do good all the time; or maybe go back and forth. Obviously, contestants can’t just control how well they do, because it depends on how well they do the missions, and sometimes the missions don't require just skill- sometimes it’s luck.
Now, you are probably wondering why the Mole just doesn’t do as horrible as they possibly can, not caring if everyone knows they are the Mole or not. But on every Mole Quiz, the last question is, “Who is, the Mole?” and for every time someone puts the name of the actual Mole, 10 points will be added to the final pot at the end, giving the final player more points than the Mole. So this makes it so that the Mole actually has to sabotage “unnoticed”, or just enough sabotage that no one suspects them as the Mole.
So basically:
Mole player’s goal: Take away as many points away as possible, but at the same time do it so no one thinks you are the Mole.
Everyone else: Add as many points as possible, but at the same time try to do bad on purpose so people think YOU are the Mole, and will end up going home because they guessed wrong on the quiz.
But there IS one here...
Mole, Nicole, Pistole, Cajole, ____....
Mission Episodes: There are two types of episodes: Execution episodes, and Mission episodes. Mission episodes consist of, well, the current mission! How the sims score in the missions is based off of how the real contestants of the show do the real life missions.
The RL missions (which the current one will always be in the second post) are an assortment of games, puzzles, and riddles, that I have created. Hopefully, they will be more fun to do than your average quiz!
Execution Episodes: In every Execution episode, another contestant will leave the game, and therefore be "executed". This is an interactive reality game show, so just as your sim is eliminated, so are you. You get executed from the show if you do the worst on the Mole Quiz, compared to everyone else taking it. I will be emailing the Mole Quiz, so you MUST have an email for this show!!
There are essentially 3 ways for leaving the show:
1- Getting executed, as mentioned above.
2- Being disqualified; you will be disqualified if you are inactive for too long, which means you aren't posting on the thread or participating in the missions. But don't worry if you are traveling somewhere or going on vacation for a short period and don't have access to internet: we will pause the game, or, if it's for an extended time, like a week, then I will work around the mission rules so you don't have to participate in that particular mission.
3- Quitting. I really hope no one will want to quit from this show, whether for personal reasons or are just really busy, but just in case you do plan to, PLEASE EMAIL ME FIRST. Do
not post so on the thread, please. No matter the reason, I'm sure I'll understand, it's just that I want to make the episodes more dramatic by having abrupt eliminations- and, if the Mole had to quit, I would want to know before anyone else.
Yes, there are exemptions. What are exemptions? Well, they are basically immunity! If you earn one of the exemptions in a mission (0-2 exemptions per mission) then you are free from the next Mole Quiz, and are automatically safe! Some Exemptions will be hidden, so you have to find them or be lucky enough to run into one. But most exemptions will be known by everyone, and sometimes only certain players will be able to receive one.
REMEMBER: Most exemptions that can be received require the receiver to take points away from the pot. You may choose not to take the exemption, but players desperate for one will take it. Sometimes the Mole might even take an exemption, even though they are safe through the entire game, but that’s just because they are trying to take points out of the pot.
There are also Hints/Clues on this show... the purpose of these are to help the players/readers figure out who the Mole is, without having to watch their every move... of course, these hints are going to be extremely subtle, since, as you can guess, if they were obvious, everyone would find them, and then everyone would know who the Mole is, and that would ruin the whole show. So, if you think you've found something, please
KEEP IT A SECRET! This is also for your own benefit, since no one else will know about it, and you will (possibly) know who the Mole is.
The hints/clues will be strewn throughout the episodes, and sometimes even on this thread. So make sure to keep a good eye out for them! There will typically be more hints in Mission episodes than Execution episodes, but that doesn't mean the Execution episodes won't have any at all!
Diary Room Entries (let's call them DE's, shall we?

) are new to this show. As you see in many reality shows, the people in it often talk to the camera, and talk about the other players, the game, strategies, their feelings, etc. What the players of this show are going to do is make their own, but in the perspective of their sim. (And, they WILL be shown in the episodes. Sometimes, I will create one for your character, but most of the time, it's going to be what you guys say for them. If it's in
italics, then their creator wrote it.)
You guys may write whatever you want, and if it's an action- like, for example: "So today, I decided to go talk to John and ask him"... then, I will most likely add that into the episode. And it can be about anything!! Make it about the game, or just some random funny thing you want your sim to do, to build character. Of course, you don't always have to have your sim do an action, you can just talk about the other sims, the latest mission, how you feel, stories, etc. Whatever is on your mind (that you want your sim to say!

) please just email me it, and label the email title, "DE for Episode __".
Also, although you do not have to make one for every episode, you are required to do a few while you are on the show. You can do just one every few episodes, or rather, if you want, do up to 3 every episode!!
If you have any questions whatsoever, PLEASE ask!! This show can be pretty confusing to anyone who doesn't know much about it.
I hope everyone will enjoy playing this season- old and new contestants alike- and let's make this season just as good as the last, if not even better!
