Hey Simmers,

After updating to the latest patch every couple of Sim hours the game will stall and freeze for 3 or more seconds then resume; Sometimes it can be longer.

The only installed content I have is from The Sims 3 Store. I tried doing a fresh install, fresh update and re-installing my Store Content but I'm still experiencing the stalling/freezing.

Anyone else experiencing this?

No, none of those were relevant to me at all.
Could it be bad store content? I have downloaded so much store content and It's a fresh install...

Please, anybody?

I'm also getting this. I updated the game today and since then it's been freezing especially when I try to click from fast forward to normal speed.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one having it occur.
Yes, the intervals are faster between freezes when on a higher speed but still occur on any game speed.

What's going on EA, is this a known bug you're ironing out? My computer has no issues running the game what so ever, the only lag is these weird short freezes every 10 seconds or so that last for quite enough time that basically my game is unplayable.
Anybody else have any feedback? I just wanna play my Sims with ease.
When am I actually going to be able to enjoy the product I payed good money for again?

I started getting this today but I believe its because of the many people in my house, someone died at one of my kids birthday party, grim reaper came and both my kids changed and the person died at the same time

Also i'm running on the original game, no content downloaded, no expansions, running everything on high and havent been getting these problems after the latest update, been playing for a couple of months now too...

1) Have you tried the cheat where it resets all the NPCs in your town? Some NPCs can get stuck/bugged somewhere in your map without you knowing and can create some lag related issues. By using the reset cheat, it fixes those kind of issues temporally, reducing the laggy feeling while playing the game.
2) Could be your computer spec that has issues with it. Sims 3 uses lots of CPU+Graphic Card power + Both comp RAM and Video RAM. Make sure your video card driver is up-to-date too.
3) Have you tried using the 3rd party Mod Overwatch? This can help reduce/fix issues that can occur while playing the game.
4) If you have Mods/CCs installed, some of these 3rd party items are known to stress your computer. Try reducing/uninstalling some of these items.

All your claims are ridiculous, you can obviously tell that this is a bad patch because I've been playing TS3 for years now and have never witnessed something so disgraceful in my entire life.

Good job EA.

I'm saying those are the possiblity to fix it.I use those from my own experience, except for the mods part cause I don't use 3rd party contents.

I used to play sims 3 up until recently with DualCore E4800 3.0GHz/4GBRAM/GTX 460/Win7-64bit and had game stop while playing, but resumes.
WA had the most issues with this. I used the simrest cheat on the entire city and didn't get the game-pauses issue for a while.
I've recently upgraded my CPU+RAM+Motherboard. it's now i7-26 00K/8GBRAM.
Since I wiped clean my HDD along with my new hardware, I re-installed Sims 3 and patched up to 1.32 only though the game launcher just 3-4 days ago.
I don't see the in-game pause issue.
Now I'm fully patched to 1.33 and not experiencing what other ppl are having issues with.

I'm having the same problem too! Right after I installed 1.33. I removed all of my CC and cleared the 4 cache files. I just started playing so I know I dont have a build up of animals or cars. I don't even use mods. My computer is new and has no problems playing any other game, especially MMO's. What else can I do??

The first thing I tried was ResetSim.

It's definitely these latest patches and they still have not fixed the issue. On a similar post an even greater number are experiencing this. I just want confirmation EA is aware of this issue and are looking into fixing it.
