My child sim came home from school one day and it said that somebody was spreading rumors that she was arrested! My child sim was never arrested and she is always home. What to do to get the falsely accused off my child sim and clear her name?

The solution is to allow 3 days to passed, use a moodlet manager or if you have a Twallan Master Controller mod, you can remove the falsely accused moodlet.

Or you can turn on this cheat

I forget which button, it is either the Shift or Ctrl and right click with your mouse on the negative moodlet to make it go away.

Or you can go to the town hall and sue whoever is spreading the false reports, bribe people to stop spreading the rumours or have someone else take the blame.

Or go to the Town Hall and if you have enough money, pay off the paps!

Okay I've had the same situation happen to me.

And you cant't go and sue or pay off the paparrazi. I tried it won't let me.

One good way is to talk to people and dispel the rumors. It stinks though, because it takes time.

I hate the rumor part of late night. It makes people dislike you.

I don't think children can sue. Can they? It doesn't matter for me at least I always just delete the moodlet

oh thanks. Its funny in game I know the answer but once I stop playing I forget.

I still think the children shouldn't be falsely accused in the first place but since kids can be falsely accused parents should be able to sue for them.

It really makes you think about how rumours work in real life, doesn't it? I'm sure they got that whole falsely accused thing down perfectly. This should teach people not to ask for realism in sims...
I just turn it off. In fact, I turned that whole disgraced thing off. Hard to keep track of the friends you lose when you have thirty in-game (politicians!).
