When I went to login here, my password was invalid, What the H***? The same happened with my Origin account. I never had trouble with this before as I know my password by heart and have it written down. I had to reset it! It's freaking me out! Please has this happen to anyone else recently? This is really upsetting, especially when a certain someone is hacking peoples information on this site, as well as posting their personal information and using death threats.

What is going on? I tried changing my password to something more secure and it took me changing it 3 times before it accepted my new password when I used it to login. This is getting to be very upsetting. Is Anyone else experiencing any odd things happening lately like this? If so, please share!

Yeah, I sure did! Several times in fact. I finally got it changed successfully, but my concern mainly lies with my original password suddenly showing up as invalid. It started with my origin account yesterday, then today it was my ea account. What's weird is I could login into my ea account yesterday after changing the origin password, but today my ea and origin acct failed to let me login again. I used that password nearly everyday, so I'm a bit concerned. The password is changed, but if this happens tomorrow, I'll probably have to report this to ea. Pfft...like it'll do me any good...

I bet if you told them you needed the password problem resolved because you wanted to buy simpoints, they would get it fixed instantly

This happened to me once. I had to keep reseting my password even though I knew I was typing in the correct one. It was super annoying and for a while it wouldn't even send me the change you password email. It eventually fixed itself somehow. Although it's not preferable you may just have to wait for the site to update or something as thats exactly what I did and after a couple of days if started working again. Good Luck

It's definitely frustrating when something like this happens! I glad you got it worked out I made a new password today, so this shouldn't happen again, but I won't hold my breath.

I appreciate any help in any form, so thank you for taking the time to respond. I haven't had any threats against me, thank goodness, but unfortunately a few simmers have and it's disturbing and out of control.

@Sumo-I can play, but it makes me nervous when all this crazy stuff is happening to wonderful simmers. Thank you for the support and *hugs* to you as well!

I have seen several posts about Origin accounts getting hijacked. I think the main reason is to pirate the games because Origin is now discovering what games you have installed and clicking the i in the icon displays the game code. One person claims the games were stolen and her identity was actually used for a time. I tried getting details but she just shut down and won't talk (as others). The only other thing I could think of is a server error and I would think a lot more people would be involved (I don't think this is a server problem). I'm getting a feeling the members of this site may be under a new form of attack (my opinion). There have been several posts about your account security and internet security in general.

That last line is the kicker isn't it? Well I'm sure there will be more of it as long as they keep wanting transition to more online features. How about that Security, eh?

@Torres826,
I hope you get the issue resolved soon.

Both SecuROM AND Origin have back doors that can possibly send data about your computer and not just data about the game. If someone wants to know what p*** (I'll censor it myself as it will probably be censored anyway) sites I have visited - so be it. This is the biggest problem when you don't know what the drm software is doing. Let's put the record straight - I do not have a problem with drm as long as I'm told it's being used and what it can do to my computer. The problem is software is being distributed with SecuROM and not declared on the packaging. SecuROM is not removed when you uninstall the software and you can't just uninstall it (yes it can be removed). It's widely known that SecuROM has been broken so I question why is it in use. It doesn't keep you from pirating the software and leaves a security hole in your computer. And Origin's eula allows EA to seek information about your computer regardless if it pertains to the game or not (read the pesky eula). Origin 's TOS can turn off your account with no warning and prevent you from using games you have paid for. This is why I believe banning should NOT be the responsibility of EA Customer Service. There seems to be a reporting blitz going on. If I remember there has been some mistakes made by EA and the users. I try to keep this computer a gaming only computer but I get stupid and forget to delete data at times.

Here's a question - has ANYONE read the eula for Origin?

I read both your posts and Wow, I didn't know all that! Thanks for letting me know and I'll be sure to share this with my husband, since he's also concerned about this. I'm officially freaked out now! I didn't buy any games through origin, but I did buy the pets ep through ea, so do I need to worry about them stealing my serial?

@blunote- Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it!

Also, if anybody else is experiencing or has experienced anything like this please post here! If you have information regarding instances of hacking on this site or origin, please please post here! I really want simmers to be aware of this problem, as this can be serious. Internet security, especially on this site has been a real problem lately.
