Everytime i try for a baby with my sims, the computer screen goes wonky, and black like it's closing and opening and completely freezes my computer.

I have the oringinal sims 3 disk,
plus i have ambitions, and i just got generations.
so with this one, it seems to mess up my computer.

Help?
