My computer isn't recognizing Town life disc

I recently bought Town Life stuff, but when I tried to install it on my computer, the game won't load. It doesn't even recognize that there is a CD in the drive. Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to get it working and install?

Mine does the same thing!! But only on my MAC. I have my harddrive split and run windows on the other side. Windows will recognize the disk but NOT install. I get some error about a file. I've had this game since it was released and have never been able to play it!!! PLEASE HELP!
