I'm so sick and tired of having only one custom radio channel. I don't want to jam all of my music under one category. Do you know how off-putting it can be to hear Volbeat's "Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood" followed immediately by Toby Kieth's "I Love This Bar"?

Give us -something- here EA. With all the money we've invested into the series, I'd think this common request isn't asking too much. If you can't alter the original radio stations in such a way as to switch them from using encoded .snr and .sns files to using mp3, then at least make it possible for players to add more custom channels themselves. This is a pretty popular demand, it seems to pop up a few times a month. There's no good excuse as to why this hasn't been implemented. There's also no good excuse as to why it -shouldn't- be implemented in a future patch.

I'd love it if they made it possible to have Custom Music folders more in detail. So like when you go into Custom Music folder. It also has subfolders in there aswell with Rock, Pop, Classical, Rap, Hip hop, Electro, etc. So if we got some Rock custom music as example. We put the rock music in Rock sub folder.

That way we can customise the main radio stations aswell.

I would be very happy if I could create custom playlists that would allow me to select songs from any category. I would also like to disable some songs from playing.

This is exactly what I had in mind.

As much as I'd like us to just be able to change the songs on the stock stations, changing the whole game's music system to use mp3 instead of encoded files would be more headaches than I'd think EA would consider it to be worth.

Instead, just making "Custom music" open a new pie menu with "Custom Rock", "Custom Hip-Hop", "Custom Country", etc... would mean minimal effort on their part, and still give players better control over their custom music. As it stands, the "Skip" function is an -extremely- poor substitute for the conventional genre controls of the previous two titles.

Agreed. I miss this option from the sims 2 freetime. They should also implement it for the new jukeboxes in showtime because those only have 2 formats on them.

I am SO bookmarking this. I have wanted to be able to add my own Mp3s to the games existing radio stations since Day 1. That and being able to create a custom station/playlist like you could in TS2.

This would be a good idea. I sometimes too find my self annoyed that I have to cycle through the skip button to find a certain song I wanted to hear.

This really could be added in a simple patch.

I miss that from Sims 2, also being able to make custom neighbourhood/buy/build music, it's really tiring listening to the same songs over and over when you've had the game for a few years.

If EA was able to make it so that you could FINALLY customize and set your own career uniforms - Which, by the way, is something I've been hoping to see FOREVER now, so Kudos EA (And I don't say that very often) - then they can certainly patch in additional custom music organization subfolders that will appear in game as "Custom Genres" in a sub-pie menu through the "Custom Music" tab.

Definately agree

Whenever they implement this I hope they also code it for the jukeboxes as well. Those let you pick a playlist but most of my favorite sim songs don't play on the jukebox.
