The first thing I thought of when I saw Diesel Stuff Pack is big rig trucks, not high-end fashion

No cross-country trucker sims yet. Oh well.

When I first heard about this pack, that's what I thought of too!

LOL, I was waiting for someone to ask about trucks.

Maybe they can talk Cummings (did I spell that right) Engines into a branded SP. Big Rigs, Bulldozers, other heavy equipment for yard decor? Could use one for mining!

Heard the rumor of this stuff pack days ago, so I knew it was a clothing line with a goofy name (speaking for "mature" gamers out there). Don't care what their called, new clothes are always welcome.

To be honest when I saw "Diesel" I expected it would be dedicated to Ford or Dodge.

"Fashion" is....putting it nicely. So far from what I see, I would hardly call it "High end fashion" then again, people do buy odd things and call it clothing I suppose.

Well EA is not claiming "High End Fashion" for this SP. Nor just off the Paris runways.

Fit your Sims’ attitude with hot styles straight from the Diesel runway. Outfit your Sims in stylish Diesel fashions showcasing the trends that are all the rage this season!
Be chic, casual, and confident. Be tough, rugged, and modern. Upgrade your Sims’ style with the latest women’s and men’s fashions from Diesel.

Diesel always advertises their casual styles for men/teens/boys as tough and rugged and modern, and women/teens/girls clothing as chic and casual. I have never heard them refer to anything they sell as 'high fashion'. They are trendy, I agree but more so in street style then NYC, London, Paris and Milan runways.

Diesel has always been, through out their various lines (not just clothing), a bit gritty and industrial, wearable, useful and trendy.

If your looking for High End Fashion you don't run out to your local Diesel or to their website, not the type of high end fashion you will get a Macy's or Nostrums or your local high end boutique.

My first thought was the action actor Vin Diesel - but couldn't quite see anything but leather and chains and motorcycles - hair - well Vin is generally bald - so I was certain there would be none. But i did see the poll and it mentioned Diesel in the poll as one of the choices over on facebook so i went looking for their pages and eventually went to their online stores. I like the industrial looking kitchen in their store - but I don't think we'd get anything that nice - besides it's one of those sets that you either like or don't and i can't see it working in just in house of family oriented homes. But the clothing line was okay enough - fairly normal looking clothing you see everywhere - so that will work in the Sims well.

I thought of Diesel sunglasses and then thought of how they tied in with Katy Perry who was a spokeswoman for them awhile back. In her old video Hot N' Cold she clearly did some product placement for them with the shades she wore on stage for one scene.

Thank you Reg! He was my first thought too, he is a favorite of mine and I would have been thrilled. I was (ahem) disappointed my rebellious lady Sims couldn't have Vin on their chests and some new great cars to steal. For all we know he has a rockin' clothing line, sunglasses, cookware and pottery. As for a set with nothing but leather and chains, it would help balance the sugary Katy Perry box so our games have a yang to their yin.
I was surprised though that they didn't follow the pattern of EP-SP. But as my husband would say, it's their show.

Forgive my wording, but I use High end fashion loosely as for anything not worth the money. Which I use "Fashion" the same way. I don't want high end fashion, I'd rather not even have trendy "Street" cloths, cause like I said before, none of it makes me go "OMG I WANT MY SIMS IN THAT!" but from going to fix my wording. I see nothing worth being a trend in that stuff pack or on the Diesel site.

I'd rather see a Baby/teen stuff pack that goes along with Generations.

I'm one of the few who actually knew what this set actually was when it was announced.

I was like... "Diesel? Really? 200 dollars for a pair of jeans diesel? What?"

I thought it was a joke.

What's next? 7 for All Mankind? Joe's Jeans?

That's what I thought too.
