Game Issues/mail/grim reap

My sims 3 mail will not come, they cant pay bills and the mail man doesnt come by anymore. The sims that have died just hover, the grim reaper will not come and take them away. I need help! The maid, babysitter and repairman will not come either.

Do you have any mods/cc installed?
