Not sure if somebody has already posted about this or not, but I'm pretty desperate for help.

Every time I try to leave China, I get to the load screen and the game just dies. No warning, no error code, no anything. Also, I noticed a LOT of my Sims inventory is missing ( all my fish, vegetables, fruit, meat, books )

I JUST downloaded the game about 3 days ago and since the computer it's on doesn't have Internet access I haven't downloaded any patches or updates.

Used another sim from a different family and it didn't happen; also, when I click on the family at the main screen it doesn't show my sim, just the little outline of a family.

Hi - the only thing I can think of, based on personal experience, is that sometimes the new EP doesn't like a Sim or family from a previous saved game before that EP. If it works fine in a new game with a different Sim, your family might have become corrupt.

Can you go back to a previous save and save a copy of your family to the bin? You
will probably have to start a new game with them.

And since the Pet's update, no fish ever comes home (still not fixed by EA). And
if you have fish in your Sim's inventory, when it disappears, everything else will too. Lost a bunch of ***** and relics that way.

Hi - when you go into the game, you should have a screen that comes up with various saved games to select from. Just select a game from before you went on vacation. Save a copy of your family to the bin, then go back to Main Menu and start a new game. (I would delete the saved game where you had problems).

If you're getting just an "outline" of a family, that means you definitely have a corrupted family. Sometimes you can get past it, but sometimes you just have to start over.
