Mary, it's America that has three schools. Elementary, 1st-5th grade, Middle, 6-8th, and High School, 9-12th. Afterwords, you can go to college for x amount of years, it's the equivalent to Uni. There's also PreSchool and Kindergarten for really little kids so they get more integrated into the whole school thing.
