I'm quite interested in the pack, especially after the 2nd live chat mainly because i'd like to use a lot for the items in a kids room and so on.. but one of my worrys is that townies will start wearing things from the pack and it will just begin to look ridiculous..
Will there be a way to stop townies wearing the KPST items because if there isn't i'm not getting it so its quite a big thing for me?

Just imagine, the cup cake bra, the Barnacle Bay boots...or the swim fins, and the grass skirt.

Twallan's Dresser mod and MC have features that allow you to block certain outfits and items from being used by npcs.

So you could always use those mods to stop the npcs in your game from wearing something you don't like.

I do not use mods and this is a big issue for me too. One of the reasons I will not be purchasing this pack.

Yeah, its a huge issue for me too. It's one of the main reasons I am not planning to get this pack. I don't want my townies walking around in these ridiculous outfits. While I would love to make some whimsical community lots, I don't want my townspeople walking around wearing food. I'm a huge KP fan but yeah I don't want my sims dressing like her.

Ooh.. I didn't think of this.. Thank you

However it would be really annoying being dependant on a mod for my town..

Oh dear lord. I think you missed that carnival Jester's hat, racing helmet with googles, and New Years top hat. Or just about any of the inappropriate head gear attire townies are so keen on wearing in your hood

If I bought that SP, I know I'd wind up having nightmares about outfits like that all the time

Thank God for creating Twallan.

Not everyone wants to rely on having to use mods to keep certain things away from townies. Many people like a pristine game with no CC, especially mods, added.

@OP - many people have spoken of this issue. Any of that clothing that is everyday wear - including the bra, some dresses, etc - will appear on your townies should the game select them randomly from what is available in your game. There is no way, without a mod, to keep that clothing from being used by townies.

Given that probably some of the red carpet wear is formal wear - although they have a habit of adding everyday wear into the formal wear category too, anytime you give a party and select formal wear, the chance is high that one or more sims will show up in some of these outfits. Some of the formals would be okay and look normal at a formal gathering, perhaps even a wedding many of the others would be a bit too much for me.

I think it's pretty funny when I see my townies wearing the most bizarre things, but I certainly can understand why some people don't.
You can always cheat and take them back into CAS. That was added when Generations was released, no mods needed. I'm pretty sure changing the clothing won't cause any problems, it's changing traits, LTW and other things like that that messes things up.

For me that makes the game all the much more fun, like people of walmart.com.

why is that considered cheating? i always set my sims outfits up in CAS cause the outfits generated by the game are usually so ugly

I mean use a cheat, I don't think it is cheating.

I use the edit in cas "cheat" all the time on townies. It takes only seconds to do.

I do it sometimes if the sim is wearing a crazy outfit ( formal dress with the flippers - I had to laugh at that one ) or if I get tired of seeing the npcs in the same outfit over and over.

All you do is enter the testingcheatsenabled true cheat. Then you can shift click on a sim or npc. Then take them into CAS. No mods needed.

Aside from the cupcake bra showing in town what about some of the rest that have gone up the scale in the trashy or sleaze factor and not what you may want walking up main street when you go shopping?

Some of those bra tops are worse then the cup cakes. Why the Popsicles are melting explained on the back of a t-Shirt and the Popsicles place suggestively. I know most will find it humorous but it is sort of the tone for KPST. And you know the bra's won't be in sleepwear since they have no sleepwear in KPST - they will be in everyday wear as you could see from the CAH showing off fashions they were all picked from everyday wear category. I thought we would be safe from the long dress as they would be put in formal wear but no, they were being selected from everyday wear.

SO townies will show up being dressed like that.

as they get random clothing from everyday wear category. Some of the hairstyles were cute but ruined with the hats and accessories stuck on the sims head. And I am still not happy about the mock girl scout/brownie uniform
