After installing master suite on my laptop AND desktop the sims 3 freezes and it crashes... It will freeze up and then it will give me a windows message that says "the sims 3 has stopped working". I have also had one of my sims get stuck teaching a boy she baby sat to talk. She was like that for almost 3 sim days.
I have to save contently and cross my fingers.

anyone know how to fix this? My fiance said the issue is that it is trying to pull from a .dll file which might be corrupt.

I thought maybe it was because when I travel I always seem to forget my sims disc, so I tried to get a "no cd" crack. But then it also happens on the home desk top and we always use the disc for the desk top, so it could not have been that.

I also thought that it could have been messed up CC, but it has been a long time since I deleted all the CC in BOTH computers, even getting rid of the mod folders completely.

My fiance just let me do a complete restore on my laptop, making it factory clean like we just opened the box. I really hope that makes some bit of a difference.

With the baby glitch that was happening before Master Suites. Reset your sim and that will fix it.

okay so im on my desktop. i got a good few hours of game play at least and it finally crashed....

with sims 3 pets on pc. I dont know why? but it gives me like 2minutes of game play.. then it crashes and says 'The sims 3 has stopped working' I need to find out how to fix this.

[i] I'm annoyed for the past couple monthes because my Sims3 keeps crashing and saying it stopped working also or lately just freezes when I'm editing a sim and I have to shut it down. I don't really know what game it had started on but I can't get it to stop. Does it have to do with a graphic card or something else? Thank you.

Pretty sure im having the same issue. I had the random freeze in create a sim, i managed to get past that after hours of quickly editing sims and crashing. Now it either randomly freezes in gameplay or simply does that black screen thing and says it stopped working. Running it windowed helped for a little while. I got some Store and Exchange stuff on, also Ambitions and Pets. I DEP ed all and didn't change anything. This is incredibly annoying. My rig can run this game no problem, so thats not an issue. Can someone try to find a solution please, seems alot of people are getting discouraged with this..

Seriously? This issue STILL hasn't been fixed?

I just got a new laptop and I installed all my expansions on it (my desktop is aside for L4D2 and GMOD) and I'm STILL having this issue. This has been going on since I think the beginning of last month. I thought it was my CD, but now I think it could be their latest update.
Has anyone tried deleting said update? I have all the expansions to Pets and I thought this would stop if I got Showtime. Anyone get Showtime and the crashing stopped?
I'm about to file a complaint if this isn't going to get fixed REAL soon.

Same thing with me! it starts up just fine. Once i start playin my family, after 5 min, it closes. ITS VERY ANNOYING and i want to play sooo bad. Ive had showtime for a while now and it never did that until i recently got Pets and did the latest supernatural update. Ive been looking up fixes ALL day and cant find any. Im definitely not computer savvy and its so hard to understand. PLEASE HELP ME FIX IT!

I'm having a similar issue. I can usually get a day or two (in sim/game time) of play and then it freezes and says the program has stopped working. I've taken to saving my game every night when my sims go to bed so that I can make some progress.

I see this thread was started back in June. Still no explanations/fixes offered?

But in all seriousness I'm getting so frustrated with this. Can someone ANYONE contact the big wigs of sims and tell them to fix this? I have no custom content or anything like that and this still happens.
