Okay, so right after prom was announced, my teen got a call that was like "Ryan Grimm is asking Caitlyn to the prom! Does she want to accept?" Or something like that. I was so shocked I clicked yes accidentally.
I was shocked because he's her uncle- by blood, her mother's brother. Not only that, but he's a young adult, married, with a child daughter.
Also, I know YAs can't go to the prom AT ALL, so that's another problem.
In the friends list, it lists him as her uncle. I couldn't stop it, and sure enough he showed up and took her to prom, showed up in her prom pictures, and I got the "ask to go steady" notification-thing. Luckily, she's still dating her boyfriend, and not him.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Nothing happened, he's still her uncle and she's still dating her boyfriend. But it was... weird O.o

It's a glitch and some even had sims invited by family members and got their first kisses and the option to go steady. They STILL haven't fixed it. Whatever you do, if you have Showtime, don't put your sims in a photobooth together unless you want them to be in a relationship when they get out.

This has happened to me, except now my teen can't get a boyfriend because it says that her uncle is her partner. I would like to know how to "divorce" her from the uncle so she can move on with her life.

This happened to me too! It was my sims dad! They dont live in the same house but are best friends. They had the first kiss and went steady during the prom. I couldn't break it off until she turned into a YA. The family tree showed the blue line for him as her dad but had an overlapping pink line to show as her boyfriend. The relationships bar now doesn't have him as father but ex boyfriend. He walks around crying with the broken heart and her face in the thought bubble....creepy!

I have 2 things to say. 1, EW! 2, I had a similar thing happen to me where my teenage daughter's GRANDFATHER asked her to go to the prom and I never had this happen so I was curious and I said yes and then when I went to a different lot but in the same game place (if you guys know what that means,) I decided to visit my teenage daughter and she was a young adult and PREGNANT. I was gagging with disgust and I arrested the grandfather using a cheat and I went back to the girl but found out the baby wasn't the grandfathers (thank goodness,) but she had a romantic interest with him and was living with him but had a romantic interest on ALL the boys in Sunset Valley and when I clicked on the baby's family tree (it was a girl,) in the father spot it said "UNKNOWN." Umm, any explanations?

PS Maybe the father could be the grandfather except I went in the young adults memory and the only memories she had were Learned Handiness Skill, Became Pregnant and Had a Baby.

One of my sims had her first cousin ask her. What the harm I let her go. Well they started going steady at the prom; and ended up a couple. I had to end that relationship.
