Ravenwood is a large, medieval town located under a mountain. The town is situated in a heavy wooded area and often shrouded in a heavy fog. Due to it's isolation, it's no wonder that a part of the forest has been cleared for farm land to provide for the town. The town is made up of mostly stone or brick homes, or Tudor styled builds. The woods are home to cabins.

There are lots off the exchange because I quite frankly can't build a decent looking and functioning lot. These simmers are as follows (hopefully I haven't missed anyone out or they don't mind me using their creations): Jisgr8, Arkhaden, KOman123, Asante, Baalberith, Vera_J, AuntieLynds, Ruthless_kk, Framedarchitecture, unrecogniseduser, happyjme, vexingquery, elle0808 and Franklear1980. I was planning on adding the creators name to lot descriptions, however some have been cleared on export. I apologize in advance, but if you see anything you like and want to know who created it I would be happy to give the creators name for you to thank personally.

All Rabbitholes are included, some are hidden in the basement of certain lots. There are bars for bands to preform in and venues for showtime careers (However one of the venues have sunk, for more info, see below). Ambitions careers are also included, and World Adventures registers. The world will be unpopulated for players own customization. All base game spawners (as well as a few of the others are included). No CC is used, but for some reason it says that the free plants from the store were used in creation. This isn't the case. You shouldn't need them at all.

Street names: Shadowmere Avenue, Cold Harbour Crescent, Black Raven Court, Kensington Gore, Arkham Pass, Herne Terrace, Dreadmore Harrow, Shadowford Point, Dead Lovers Lane, Maiden Circle, Half Moon Street, Cut-Throat Lane, Hemlock Court, Sovereign Pass, Bleeding Heart Yard, Thornecliff Road, Cripplegate and Melancholy Walk.

Known Issues
Some lot descriptions and addresses have been erased. The Willowglen Ampitheatre has sunken into the ground, leaving the bottom two rows filled with water, covering a performers stage. This can be rebuilt or converted to a fishing spot. Spiral staircases seem to get stuck making them unroutable, but is fixed by replacing the stairs. The community garden, all the havestables were removed on exports, but can be easily replaced. The waterfalls may not work in the first game session but are functioning. There is a strange issue where some lots have locked everyone out (Regardless of replacing or resetting doors and gates), If a lot does this just replace it and it should be fine.

There is a photo book on the story boards to see for more photos

Wow!!

Really Good for a first run.

My only critique are your roads, they look very un real/unnatural to me. If you were aiming for that, feel free to ignore this comment, if that was a miss I may be able to help.

http://www.mediafire.com/?610g0xs29gsy2iq

This takes you to a media fire download for all the terrain textures and roads from Starlight Shores, the dirt road there is pretty good.

Also visit AuntieLynds CAW Tutorials and FAQ's for other resources and full custom road design tut's.

Hope this helps and is well recieved.

Again, if you are happy with the roads as is... no hurt feelings if you ignore this.

I have been thinking that about the roads but can't seem to make anything to fit the world properly. If you could suggest something that would be great

Hi,

Sure- that road looks nice.
Your world looks great too. Love the theme.

Uhm- in case you haven't fixed this yet-

There are trees floating in this picture.
And a small lot rip in front of the fence.

Do you have any idea how to fix this easily? I've noticed a few other lot tears and cannot figure it out.

Theres probably a few other rookie mistakes here and there

Lot tears- use the Conform Edges button in the Lots- click the conform and then click the lot. Or there's the double click option- use the Move World Object tool and double click on the lot.

To set the trees quickly- turn on the Grid, use the Move World Object tool and click on the tree. Find the main tree for that cluster (it will have the 3 direction lines from it), gently move that main tree and the whole cluster will settle to the grid. You can do that for all your clusters to make sure- it can be faster then one tree at a time.

Looking really good so far!! I'll be keeping an eye on this
Only thing I'd say is what several others have already mentioned before me - the roads don't blend in well with the rest, but other than it looks great

Much better! Still kinda cut off in the background, but much smoother in the foreground
