Hey guys! There's a lot of people who want there to be mermaids or aliens and a lot of people who just hate them! I can't say if there will be either in Sims 3 or in Sims 4, and you can't either. But, I want you guys to vote if you want mermaids, aliens OR if you could think of something else that might come in Sims 4 or you want it to, I'll add it to this post. Don't fight about it, just say if you like them or want them or not -amyzoe

This should probably be in another section, but my vote definitely goes to Aliens. As with fairies in SN, Mermaids do not appeal to me. At all.

Aliens. Not a mermaid fan. I can't understand living under water as it looks so fake seeing sims can't even go in the water to start with - never mind that walking on the tail thing. Even when sims could go in the water, the user created merpeople did not swim right - they suddenly developed legs. That would require animation we will never have as EA said they would not ever do merpeople except for consoles. So far they have kept their word.

But I don't care for them anyway - but most definitely want the aliens back - besides they are definitely pointing toward that happening with all their subtle little hints this year... like area 51 in LP and the fact our sims took over an alien world in LL, and a few things sims actually say and thought bubbles since pets or Gen. at least. So I would guess the aliens are coming... I keep wondering if that is the SN creature maybe.

I dont really like any, i prefer just normal sims but if i had to pick one i'd prob pic aliens.

Desert mermaids? Sims cannot go into mermaid domain, so no to them. Aliens were a Sims standard, I thought. Kinda.

Seriously I think Aliens would be easier to implement and would go better with what we already have like Lunar Lakes and all the futuristic furnishings.

When you say mermaids, do you mean the evil seductresses who lure men in to the water or a Disney's Little Mermaid type of mermaid? If it's the evil one, count me for mermaids, but if not, then definitely aliens

Mermaids for the win, I already have Alien's in Sims 3, they are easy to make and play. An since Luner Lakes I have an all Alien world. I really never found anything impressive about Alien's in Sims 2, I can not even remember what was so special about them.

However Mermaids, I can see a whole new skill set, Sim ability and more with Mermaids. Also people keep going back to the lack of being able to swim in the Ocean, there is nothing to say it can not be done and will not be done. This is EA, they can do anything if they put their mind to it, who knows, with seasons you may get the ability to swim in the Ocean and have mermaids.

I have also seen lot's created already that make it appear your swimming in the Ocean so with a bit of modification I think it is possible and will be done.

To be honest, I like both ideas.

I'm more of a alien fan, but that's because of Sims 2...

Anywho, I think it'll be good if they had a expansion with JUST mythical creatures, or added it to Supernatural, you know?
Also, for those who don't want mermaids, or aliens in the expansion, there should be a button on settings to turn it off.

(In my opinion, there deffiently should be a 'turn off' button for Sims 3 Late Night Celebirty stars, I'm sick of them becoming famous, and everyone becoming a vampire -.- it's more common then the common cold)

Mermaids, but it kind of depends. Can they be evil?

I think both would be awesome! Especialy mermaids, it's just so different. Like in Sims 4 (if and when) they should make it so Sims can go swimming in the sea (how long have we all wanted this?!) or take a boat out to sea (or even take boats in lakes, for fishing purposes) and maybe if you spend enough time or go out far enough there's a chance of running into a mermaid, only like a small chance, or maybe if you have a certain trait you'd be more likely to run into a mermaid out at sea. I'm not big on mermaids, or aliens for that matter, but it would be really cool.
I think it's great theyre inventing werewolves and faries and stuff with the next EP, so I think there is every chance we could have mermaids and aliens at some point.

Another thing I'd love to sims in TS3 or 4 would be zoos. Don't you think it'd be aweosme if you could build an actual zoo with lions and tigers and giraffes and elephants and such? Every so often one could escape form the zoo and cause havoc around town haha. Maybe thats a little too much to expect but you never know. Or maybe just smaller animals like farm animals, cows and sheep and what have you just sort of roaming around. We have wild horses and deer and racoon, why not sheep and cows?
