How do I revive dead Sims?

Sorry to post this question, it's probably been answered before but the **** search option doesn't work...

How can I revive a dead Sim?

And if a Sim is dead but I can't find him at the grave yard, where could his ghost be? There is a new family living in his old house.

His grave will be where he died.

I wasn't playing the family when he died so I have no idea where that was...

How does ambrosia bring them back? Do I make it and feed it to a Sim?

EA, if the forum search worked properly we could all search for answers and not need to post new topics all the time. That way this would not be the fastest moving forum in the world...
