Its related to Showtime or to the 1.32 patch. I suspect the patch myself because I had sims marry after installing Showtime and before the 1.32 patch came out. I got gifts with that wedding, so I either avoided the glitch that time or it was the patch.

Two (real days) after the patch was installed I had another couple marry and hit the glitch where the presents did not show up.

Then since that - 4 more marriages and gifts arrived. Without it happening all the time its really hard to chase down the issue and hard to help EA figure it out either. I suppose that if they are looking into and they can't get it to happen it makes it a good deal harder to figure out whats breaking it.

That seems to be a problem with most of the Showtime problems. Some you can make happen and others you can't. Some happen all the time. Both of those are easy to diagnose and fix. The ones you can't make happen or happen sometimes and not others really make it hard for them to see.

This wedding gift things seems to happen a lot though so I hope they are able to see it if they are testing for it.

I have the same problem.... I thought that it was at first just not telling me what I got but then I looked in the Family Inventory and nada....I hope EA fixes this issue soon.

I threw a big wedding party and never received wedding gifts. I didn't haven't had the option to write thank you notes either. This was the first time I haven't done a private wedding. I was kind of disappointed to not receive any gifts.

There have been several people reporting this issue. I have it in my game as well. I don't know of a fix for it but I will tell you that my sims simply REFUSE to write Thank You notes for gifts they never got!

Me too. I miss my wedding gifts and I have married loads of families by private and in a crowd, it doesn't change. I uninstalled and reinstalled my games in order just incase and that did nothing.

I noticed this too.....whats the point of all those friends if you don't get their gifts??
The feature of gift getting was working until showtime...then the notes came but no gifts to back it up....I still write the TY notes tho....don't want my Sim friends to feel slighted.
And while we're talking about fixing things.......I'm still waiting for WEATHER!!!

I have the same issue as the original poster has, and it only happened after I installed Showtime.

Same issue here. I'm not getting the Imaginary Friend either.

I have this problem too. I always get the option to send thank you notes though.
