it's not realistic...it's just fancy cookie stuffs.. i hate...

i don't know what they are going to make for 7th expension pack... but ...if they don't going to make openbusiness, university, seasons..(if they make another katty perry thing or strange thing) there is no reason to play sims3(for me).. i;m going to play sims2 instead of some kind of useless thing!

when sims4 come out,, i will go straight to sims4 ..i don;t think i have any regreat to quit sims3...

Maxis would of never pulled this Katy Perry crap on us. They are the real heart & soul and is why the sims became popular in the first place. I am just so disappointed in the Sims 3. I am really thinking of quitting because of stunts by EA like this. Unless EA changes soon, call me back until Maxis makes the Sims 4

Too bad for EA cause it's the first one I'm NOT buying in 10 + years (I've been playing since sims 1 and have every game and EPs and SPs and almost all store items). I also miss Maxis a lot when I see stuff like this come out...

wait its going to be $30 for this? Here I was thinking this stuff pack was a silly idea but that I'd end up getting it anyway because I'm a sucker for cute things. However I definitely don't think it's worth $30. It better have a lot more stuff in it than the other stuff packs did.

I agree wholeheartedly that this SP is awful and I'd also like to add another aspect that I think it ....well....pretty insulting.

Right now I live on the east coast of the US, however I did live in California for quite a few years and I loved it. Yes CA is the home of Disneyland, Hollywood, sparkle and glitz. It's also a place full of beautiful beaches, vineyards, great people and a lot of other wonderful things and places.

I bought Showtime for two reasons, I thought the genie was great and the town reminded me so much of southern CA it made me homesick.

Every time I see "Candyfornia" in reference to this SP I just really want to scream. I think equating this SP to CA is insulting.

I lived in southern California for several years as well. And, like you, that was one of the reasons why I loved Showtime. The town brings back memories. I just wanted to say, though, that they call it "Candyfornia" because that is what the candy world in Katy's California Gurls video is called, which is the world they based it off of. Katy is a native Californian, so that probably had something to do with the name. Apparently it was actually the brain child of the video's director, though:

I have read your post twice and if I am interpreting your meaning correctly, you are under the impression that the ice cream machine and the deep fryer are included in the Katy Perry Sweet Treats stuff pack.

Those 2 items, the ice cream machine and the deep fryer, are not part of the KPST stuff pack. They will be sold as part of a set/sets in the Sims 3 store.

I kind of think it looks interesting and it could a lot to showtime. I want it for the music. But some of the pieces look cool to have in your sims house.

Why does everyone bash every game that EA gives us its a game its suppose to be fun.

That's a lot of good reasons, and probably some that those who are not buying it feel too. It would add to ST IF you have showtime but a lot of people don't It would add to showtime if the stage props in it could be used as stage props when you customize a stage but they can't be because they cannot make an SP where stuff works for EP's, only things that work for the base game. So they won't be in the customize stage prop area the way you suspect and so don't add much to showtime unless one imagines that all singers have homes decorated in candy.

None of that seems worth an extra $10 for the SP.

And as for the music - you are getting one KP song sung in simlish - not an album or tour or anything like that. And for many who even like her music, one simlish sung song of a hit they can hear everywhere in a language they speak its not something to be added to their KP collection, and even on the pop radio station for the radio in the game its just that one song. Usually one song over and over gets boring pretty quickly.
