Rflong, I know you've already made your Dice of Fate lot (That's an AWESOME idea, btw!), but I think I have an idea to add on to it!

One fate could be to play as a "hobo Sim" for an entire day or two, where you're not allowed to visit any Sim's residential lot, or use any refrigerators on any lot, either!
If you're not updating it or releasing a 2nd version, I'll just add that to my own game!

I think there may be a way to use the Processor from the WA Tomb section in the Debug area to randomly select which room you must choose, and which fate is decided on you! I'll have to test this out later, though!

You have given quite a bit of inspiration with this lot, Rflong! I love it!

Yay! Yes, RFlong that was me, erm, I, er...JM who requested the green version of Ridgeview. Thanks so much! I'm going to put it in after I install Windows on my machine. We STILL haven't had a chance to do that yet but hopefully the weekend coming up we will have some time to set aside. It was a monster busy weekend of home improvements and cleaning and will continue until next weekend but at least one major job, the annual garage clean-out, got done.

Heh heh, don't worry Bun, Ben will be indoors most of the time. He has been to a campsite without too much fuss, though. He was there only for part of his sim day.

My game continues to be wonky and glitchy since the most recent patch. I can't imagine a store patch would cause any issues but there's been a lot of freezing even in Barnacle Bay, which normally is pretty stable for me and the world I use for breeding and testing new sims. I think it is just a Mac issue. Everything should smooth out for me with Windows.

I think when I install Windows I will set up the framework and run the game with mods. I will do parallel games--the Mac version will be, as always, mod free. All of the sims I make and share will come from that installation so that I will never spread CC.

For the Windows installation, I will go bolder and try custom skintones (MAYBE--if my sims don't end up looking awful in them) and custom hair and clothing. I miss cc hair. I will also try some of Twallan's mods to clean up borkage.

JM, I think you will like how your characters' lives go with a few of those rewards given to them. I always start with the fireproof house and the steel bladder. I am saddened to hear about your baby's death. But you are right, he led a long happy life filled with love, and he went quickly without pain and suffering. That is a blessing. I always put my picture cards on display and look at them with pleasure. I truly appreciate all the love and effort that goes into them. Like any "hand made" gift, they are especially treasured.

We had a very busy weekend so this is the first time I have been able to log on for days. Yesterday we saw "Avengers" which my hubby has been wanting to see since it came out. It was a fun movie. Am watering today so hope to find some time to play.

Thank you all for the nice comments about my lot. I had heard that lots with Premium Content will not download for those who do not have those items. Since I inadvertently left the tablet and the foot messager on the lot before uploading, I took them out and reuploaded the lot. Just like all my lots, it's not fancy or chock full of decor and CFE. But hopefully anyone who downloads it will find it playable. Some of those gorgeous lots out there may be incredible to look at, but IMO aren't at all practical for playing the game.

Rukaya, I couldn't help but smile at your comment about no CC. Thank you for the compliment but many people see lots loaded with Store Content as being full of CC! And as you know my lots are loaded with Store stuff. I just thought it was ironic. Ha ha!

Rflong I know you are taking the week away from the Sims, but your green Ridgeview looks great and I'm glad JM asked for it. I haven't really had time to play with it like JM has but will be downloading for future reference. As usual, thank you very much for sharing.

Tangie, thank you so much for that site. I really enjoyed it. LOL. I am in awe of peoples' creativity. Store items don't concern me. I love using them. I guess my understanding of cc is a bit skewed, but I have always understood that store items are safe, but I am happy to know that you are so very careful about you upload.
I have some ideas about making a new house and when I do, I will be using store items. Also thinking about a new sim. Will be endowing her with money, some skills, steel bladder, fire protection and also store stuff, since I plan to play her and so much of the non-store items bore me. I really need to go to the library and check out some architectural magazines and get some ideas on house designs. I am suffering from brain freeze when it comes to original designs. Today , while doing a huge laundry, I plan to place all my new YAs [second generation offspring from some of my sim families] in the unpopulated LV II and save it to desk top. Do you think anyone would be interested in YA sims with some of those lifetime rewards given to them or will they be put off by that? I always give my sims some of the lifetime rewards . It makes the game more enjoyable for me, just as giving them a good financial boost does. It really increases the fun factor. Maybe my age and lifetime experiences play into that.
I have been watching the progress of alexspoom13's new world Suburban Springs. He plans to release the BETA version on June 3, and I have told him I will be happy to test it. I think it looks like it will be a very nice world. He is using all the eps and sps up to and including MS, so I am good to go. Also most importantly he states absolutely no CC.

Hey guys how is everyone? I'm on my mobile so I can't really catch up. Here at patras things are crazy. Some immigrants killed a young guy right outside his house two nights ago. People have gone insane after this. They are protesting all over the place , causing chaos. Not to mention that everyone has gone racist. It's horrible. I just hope things will calm down soon.

DM I answered your post. Last night looking at the slideshow I realized that I had left the pinball machine in the basement but wasn't going to re-do unless someone had an issue. Since you did, I removed it and re-uploaded the lot. I guess I should take down the others but technically I don't think I should alter the links on my That's Entertainment post quite yet so I guess I'll wait awhile. Anyway, I checked it with custard and it shows fine for me, but I checked the other two again and they showed find also so I'm thinking it has to be the PC items. Let me know if you still have problems.

Rukaya some people see Store content as CC because you can choose to purchase it or not and it customizes your game if you add it. There are also a lot of young (and not so young) people who either can't afford it or just don't want to buy it and they're disappointed when they see an upload they like but don't have all the CC for it. I can't see not using since I spent a lot of money on it.

And to be truthful, sometimes Store content breaks just like 3rd party CC and furthermore, until recently EA wasn't very good at even supporting their Store content, so frankly I don't see a lot of difference between Store content and other well-made CC. Except a lot of other CC is free! But that's just my opinion, and since CC is much more difficult to maintain that it used to be I do understand how some people would prefer not to use it. Truthfully I only have a relatively small amount of 3rd party CC (especially compared with Sims 2!). The mods on the other hand are what make this game playable for me and I refuse to play it without them.

Tangie, thanks for the info. I see your point. But, like you, I enjoy using my store stuff, that's why I bought it. I am under the impression the store stuff is replaced if one doesn't have it, this happens to me all the time, I get the notice " you don't have things," and I go "oh well". I usually go through and rearrange things to my personal taste anyway. When I first starting playing sims2 with my granddaughter we dl'd tons of third party cc, and I really enjoyed it, but it certainly slowed down the game, and often caused serious lags. when I had to reload the game a while back I decided not to reinstall the cc stuff and the game plays so much more smoothly.

That's been my experience too, Rukaya, that Store content just gets replaced. But some people want it to look just like the pics that are uploaded.

I guess building that modern monstrosity gave me a little building bug because I'm working on a new lot, a much smaller lot. lol! I should have it uploaded by tomorrow.

Sounds great Tangie. I will look forward to seeing it. I am still thinking about an alternate sim and a house. Haven't got to the library to look for a magazine or book with house plans.
I stayed up very late until the early morning reading a thriller so am running on fumes today. Am going to play while watering. Yesterday while going through the launcher downloads checking to see if I already had that picture that was on sale, [I did] I found a bunch of third party cc so i deleted it. Was able to get it all out except for a water tower and a platinum record wall hanging. Launcher said it couldn't uninstall it. Oh well, none of it seems to be hurting my game. Today want to play in the modern house Tangie designed and that very elaborate house by Originalsim, that you mentioned Tangie. I think I will create a new sim or play one of my sims newly aged up offspring. Get her some skills and upload her as an alternate.

Rukaya - those two items are not CC - the record wall hanging was a bonus item for Fast Lane and you got that from Mariners Reach, as JohnnyWr has the bonus in one of his buildings, and the game sees you have Fast Lane and thinks you are entitled to it. It's is made by the Sims Team though. The Water Tower I am sure is just the EA one recolored - I think a checkerboard pattern or something like that was added to it - but it is from one of Rflongs world and is just a recolored version. Even though they have the asterick as if they are CC - they are not. Anytime a CAW creator recolors content building the world it will look like CC when it is not and the game sees it as what it is - game content. Hopefully the things you deleted was not more of the same, as many creators recolor world content to look better in their worlds that is not considered third party content. The secret is finding out if those items are just recolors or if they are actual CC - but I see this a lot in brand new created worlds where I know the creators - like Rflong, Aunty Lynds, Coasterboi, Mr. C, and JohnnyWr and a lot of others who do not use CC when making their worlds. I know Rflong's Winter Wonderland, Haunted Valley, and several others has recolored or patterns added to content that come with the game that are not third party CC. Lately even some recolored store content also shows in the game as CC - so it's getting to the point you just have to know what';s in your game and just recolored or what is actually third party content. It has not been so easy to tell since the recoding of the game in Generations and Pets - especially Pets as that is when some of the store stuff began to show some recolors as CC.
No worries though, if it is just recolors in a created world, generally starting a new game will put the recolors or retextures back in your game - you will have the less fancy ones without the new color or texture even if you don't start a new game. So you don't really fully lose them if it came with a world.
