My crazy conspiracy theory is that the future ep isn't the 11th expansion to the sims 3 but its the sims 4... My thought process was that the sims 2 is placed about 50 years ahead of the sims 1, and sims 3 is 50 years before sims 1, so maybe the sims 4 is 50 years ahead again, hence in the future. Just my take on the whole thing Any thoughts?

That's a really good theory! Haha. I saw somewhere that there will only be 10 EP's for TS3. So would island paradise be the 10th?

They did state "Expansion Pack" though. I don't think they would get away with being that misleading. But I can't say it didn't cross my mind.

Not to mention I doubt sims 4 will be ready by the end of this year, if ever.

Sorry, but I highly doubt it. EA often hints, teases and leaks new releases, but they've never lied and deceived people before. They wouldn't have said "Expansion Pack" if it was The Sims 4.

Good theory but I don't think so.. although I wouldn't rule out possible hints for the sims 4 like at the end of the sims 2 we got the sims 3 game on the computer for our sims.. I would like to see that again.. although I'm not ready for the end of the sims 3.

I'm thinking that maybe the graphics for games made using the video game developer career will be from The Sims 4. So far, EA has avoided adding new video files except when neccesary, so I'm thinking there must be a reason for adding it. Unless they just use existing video files, which would be lame.

I feel like EA wasted so much potential on sims 3. If they're going to restart with sims 4 they better immediately give us weather/late night/everything else because I really don't want to buy all these games AGAIN and only get the difference of 1 or two new items.

I agree some things should be included but I highly doubt they will give us much. I really don't plan on buying the sims 4 when it comes out.. I waited so long for horses and now uni and of course weather I don't want to play without them! Of course I said that about the sims 3 when I was playing the sims 2 so....

Yes, it is a long shot, but there is some evidence to back it up, if it were true.

I don't think it's for the sims 4 for the simple fact that we don't even have a base game release date set...and this is a site for ts3, not ts4. I just don't see it being for the next base game.

Now, if you'd used the word "deceptive", then I would agree with you. But when you insult the intelligence level of a whole group of people who make a game that you love...that's a different story.
