I've been waiting for University for SO LONG. So they announce University, and then are like, THERE'S MORE! Stop caring about University and look at Island Paradise! (Which I don't like.) And then, Time Travel! (Seriously? In SIMS??) It was just like Supernatural-- I spent ALL SUMMER waiting for it and then they were like, FANS OF SUPERNATURAL? NOT ANYMORE-- SEASONS IS COMING OUT! So I felt so alone as a Supernatural fan. I think they should at least wait a week after the new EP and THEN announce the next one.
On second note, I've had University PEPS for at least a year or 2.

I thought after seasons I wouldn't have peps anymore since it added festivals,weather and seasons,skating etc but now uni is adding new kisses,new party types,poses,bowling alleys and coffee shops,vending machines etc and IP is adding boats,houseboats,scuba diving,pool slides and hotels.

It just keeps getting better and better. IP is the one I'm really hyped up about as it will add new gameplay boats and scuba diving.

I don't know enough about the travel one yet.

I understand what your saying but just like you don't like the idea of Island Paradise or Time Travel there are those that don't like University. So they figured they would say the whole set up that way there is something for everyone to be excited about.

Plus outside of this year that is what they have always done. They never mentioned a new one until after the next one. It only started with Supernatural because it fit right in with Halloween and Seasons with Winter Coming. If you look at how the game announces you will notice something.

Base game came out on June 2, 2009
World Adventures came out on November 17, 2009

That was what they started doing alternating Every 6 months to get stuff out. I have been playing for a year now. Before I started we only had up to Town Life.

So that's 4 Expansion packs and 4 Stuff packs over the course of a Two year period. Now in the one year that I have been here it has been 4 EPs and 4 SP's in just one year! Granted the Pets one was from end of 2011 but it still fits. In one year they have pushed out an impressive amount of content. Saying hey look we pushed all this out so fast look at how fast we can push out more it seems to me.

I'am actually much more excited for Island Paradise and Time travel than for University life.

Different people love different things. If someone really wants University life, no other expansion will oveshadowed that expansion for that person.

The content and objects getting added with every new ep is getting better and better. Pretty soon this game the sims 3 will inclde everything the sims 2 had except for car woohooing.

I'm hoping that open resturents will be added to IP since it's bringing back hotels.

People who got Plagued with the World Adventures bug probably thinking twice before getting anyone of the 3 eps. This does revolve around Traving to different places on the SimNation.

I do not have that bug. And we do not know if worlds in Island Paradise and Time travel are sub-hods.

In survey, Island Paradise world is main world not sub-hod.

Or if you are like me, you get PEPS for everything!

There is always something in each game that appeals to me.

Also, I think that once we get information about an e.p, we tend to calm down. Part of the fun is guessing and gossiping.

I see what you mean like not even a month ago seasons was awsome and big and then everyone starting thinking uni was coming out and seasons was forgotten about (like now I don't even check those forums hardly like I used to). Yet also of course your going to get excited for something else it doesn't take long to get bored of an expansion pack as sad as it is to admit some of us get bored with our new EP after avidly playing for weeks and sometimes days it just happens sadly. Soo once something new is coming out or already out then your like something new to do! Plus for me this looks to be the best EP yet look at all the new things were getting just thinking about it makes me squirm in my seat right now I have MEGA PEPS I cannot wait who knows this might even be the first EP in history of sims that I have ever preordered that's how amazing this looks to be cannot wait! In conclusion to this it's not that were going for the "better" one were going for something else to do and what sounds appealing for EVERYONE'S game play some people don't like the EP's were getting or have been getting lately and are counting the days for uni to come out as this is something THEY/I want so really it's what we as players have been wanting in our game. Hope this helped you see it on a different side.

You felt "alone" because another EP was announced on top of the one you were looking forward to? If the newly announced EP actually replaced (as in canceled) the one you were looking forward to, I would completely understand. However, that's not the case.

Get this: Not everybody was excited for Supernatural. It wasn't an EP with broad appeal. If you liked SN creatures it was for you, but if you do not, it wasn't for you. So to have another EP, especially one on the level of Seasons, to pick from at the time was a very good thing.

I'm sorry that you felt that your EP was so "overshadowed", but it was still released. You have it in full. There's nothing to complain about here unless you just can't imagine that other people have different tastes from you, and if you believe that they have to take what you want and nothing else.

That is the way of games, a new add-on come and it enhances the game. I usually like something from all EPs, so it doesn't overshadow it, those EPs bring something that make the game more enjoyable.

After each EP is released there will be another, so don't get down about it.

This. I never really cared for Seasons, because Supernatural was expansion I wanted. And that was expansion I bought before Seasons.

So for me the fact that Seasons was announced immediately after Supernatural, did not mean anything to me.

I was still waaaaaay more excited for Supernatural, because that was expansion I really wanted.

Sadly the sims 3 is getting close to ending. Either Travel Time or Ep 12 if there is an ep 12 will be the last.

It's been a fun ride but I hope in the sims 4 I don't have to wait till the latter eps to get the content I want.

I had to wait for Late Night to get the hottub.

I had to wait for Generations to get the Look At Stars and Dating back.

I had to wait till Showtime to get the photobooth,karoke machine,jukebox and the dancing sphere back.

And finally I had to wait for seasons to get the slowdance and skating back.

University will bring the bonfire,bowling and coffee shops back all three of which I've been waiting for as well as new kisses finally.

And IP will bring back Vacations and Hotels and hopefully Open Resturents as well.

This. It's one of the reasons I rarely contributed to the Seasons forum, that and the Seasons crowd were incredibly rude and disrespectful when Supernatural was first announced. Besides, I think we all know which EP turned out better.

However, I'm not as excited for University Life as I am for Island Paradise, (though I have a sneaking suspiscion I will never use the majority of IP's furniture). Mermaids and houseboats are definitely making this expansion. Maybe I'd like UL more if it was less American, more relateable that way. And Time Travel is already in the game remember, though I need more information to decide whether or not it want it.
