Will we be able to have proper coffee houses this time around? I know they added the coffee house lot zoning in one of the expansion packs but that does nothing for a community lot.

Well, we get a Barista counter so we can place that in a lot, change it to coffee house and hey presto

First thing I'm doing is making Central Perk from Friends

Well we are getting a barista bar where your sim will be able to buy coffee and snacks, so I'm saying YES!

I have already made this lot I plan to update it though. Very fun looking hangout!!

Glad we're getting proper coffee house equipment and furniture. I'm trying to re-make a complex from an Australian soap opera. That's the Coffee Shop sorted!

Wait, real coffee houses? Yay! As a college student, they're my favorite place to study. I'll be sure to send my sims there often!

Back on track I would love the idea of coffeehouses. I can have a incredibly Social Loner Me be a Coffee Junkie for studying!

Thanks, Dear! It's an actual sim, no editing. It's amazing what a little lighting can do to a picture. And yes! I'm super excited about sending my sims there to study.

I made it in TS2.
It should be a lot easier in TS3 using Create-A-Style

Again I will state that you have awesome Sim Building Skills!

I'm going to put the coffee bar in the Espresso Cafe in Monte Vista (currently using the WA food register there) and Han's Tavern/Cafe in Hidden Springs; there'll probably be a few other places I can either put it or the whole coffee house venue. I can then give my writer Sim a laptop and send him there to write instead of staying at home.

I am going to do a combination coffee house/ice skating rink and a combination bowling alley/roller skating rink.

What's going to be fun is placing them in our home neighborhoods.

Apparently we're getting waiters with the barista bars..
