Sorry I haven't been posting here in a while. But nevertheless I'm still working on it. Not as much as I did, though. It's down to school but mainly because I need to find some inspiration and ideas for lots and layout etc.

I'm also waiting for Pets to come too ... every single lot will of course feature pets and Pets will be such a huge part of this world. So, I really don't see the logic behind making the lots and then going back over them with Pets stuff. So, I'm mostly doing CAW-work, but that itself is rather tedious and getting the layout is very hard. I always find the layouts hard.

Anyway, thanks for the comments above. Much appreciated.

Oh, and to anyone who is eager for Magic Town I'm kinda holding off on that too. I do it now and then but as I said I can only really do stuff when I have a spur of motivation. Which is rare!!

Thanks.

Oh and Donegal is beautiful you should really go there and Donegal Town Castle is really cool and some rooms are furnished like they were originally.

Hi & thanks. Yes, I'd love to go to the North sometime. I've only seen Donegal on TV (Discover Northern Ireland adds - "remember when, when we ..." Love that song. ) but it looks very tropical with the clear water beaches and everything.

Hi there. Thank you, I'm glad you like Rinn Fada. I'm not so sure what to do with the dock part YET (yes I know, I should get a move on) but I'm sure it'll come in time. Right now I'm in the middle of making the main village - and it is coming out VERY well.

Sorry, I should really update the first page with the details. But I have WA, AMB, LN, GEN, DHT, OLS, (and hopefully Pets).

I will be using objects from ALL of the expansions named above, INCLUDING SPs. I have them so I thought I might as well use them. Oh, and I will be using some store stuff too, but just plants and statues and stuff - no sets or anything from BB or HS. I'm sure the world will install and play without the store objects - maybe.

Your world is really coming along. I have never had any trouble downloading worlds that had store stuff that I didn't. The game has either replaced things with other stuff like those silly stuffed fish pictures, or has an announcement to the effect that your missing something. That is what happen when I dl'd DM's remake of a world and he used some BB stuff before I eventually bought the set when EA had that special. Even though I didn't have the BB things, the game still played very well. I am really excited to see you are going to be using all the sp paks too. Yahoo.
By the way, I am enjoying seeing your character in different roles in Rflong's new IOS. What a hoot. She has us all in there popping up in different places.

It's looking so good, smaller worlds are just so nice to play in, when everything is perhaps not quite right next to each other, but close enough to get to easily. I'm rapidly going off the huge sprawling worlds where the commute to work (if you get in the car on the dot of it arriving) still makes you late!

The greens are just how Ireland should look, and the harbour is perfect, I can't wait to see what else you add to this world. Bookmarked!

Edited for idiotic typo

It doesn't seem that small to me.

Thanks for the comments above everyone

Please don't think I'm after stopping this. I'm getting through it slowly, mostly because I find it hard to get motivated, but it's definitely not off. I'm still working in CAW, trying to get the layout logical, and waiting for Pets to do lots. I know there's many who want this world finished so I'll try and do just that.

Thanks for the support and have a lovely evening ...

Hi there. Hmm. You have to look at the pictures again. The world itself is HUGE. The village part, however, is very compact, unlike SV where it is actually very, very spread out. The main rabbitholes (grocer, Books, Spa etc) are all on the same lot! The lots for the village are very small, the biggest being probably 40X40. That's the small part I think you're seeing.
BUT.
If you choose to live, say, near the lighthouse, then you'll be about more than 2 sim hours away from the village. It's drastic, I know, but it's realistic. Though it wouldn't take 2 hours to get into town here, it doesn't exactly take 5 mins if you live in the country either. I wanted to create that isolation feel about the world by the closest community area is perhaps NEVER a walk away. Unless, of course, you live IN the village.

Hope that explains it.

See, living IN the village is what I was talking about, I'm growing majorly tired of the fact that I live no more than fifteen minutes from work, but my sims take all darned day to get there! It's that compaction I'm liking, along with the space around it, so that if they have a day off they can go out for a drive, see something different, explore, but not have to drive past anything they see on a daily commute basis.

Hopefully that's a little clearer? Maybe I wasn't quite awake when I posted last time, but that happens. I work too hard and study too hard and don't sleep enough!

Nah, no worries! I know what you mean now. The village itself will be rather big compared to real villages here (well, depends what village, but my local Village/Parish is tiny, only a church and school and a grocers that you can hardly step into!) but yeah, the village will be rather large as a village, maybe 1/2 size of the urban area of SV which in reality is tiny.

Surelookit. I'm terrible at explaining so when you see the pictures you'll know what I'm saying.

Thanks Scorpina2009!

I love your new Avi.
