I pull up to the school and take my bags out, I see another girl being closely followed by her family, I try not to laugh, I actually feel kind of sorry for her. I wave at her, I couldn't imagine my embarrassing family following me into college.

I see someone wave, and I look around, wondering of there is anyone around me. When I don't see anyone, I blush a bit and wave back, wishing my mum would've let me come alone, like her. But, nope "I want to see the place that you're gettin your education!" She said. I head inside.

I walk through the doors, Dorm 1 should only be so hard to find, I think I pull out my map. "Yep, right there..." I say and sort of kind of almost walk into a pole, but save myself. I find the room and unlock it. I plop my stuff down on one bed, I'll get the rest out of my car later.

I search my bags and find my map and keys. I'm in dorm one! I follow the map to my room, where I find it already unlocked. I turn to my mom and siblings. "Do you guys have to come in?" I ask them, frowning. My mom sighs "I guess not. We'll look around, then come back to say bye." She says, taking the photocopy of the map I gave her. I smile a bit and walk into my dorm.

Here I am Tommy, College Just like i promised you before you left.

I smell the dorm is the first thing I notice the first thing I always sense in things is smell. Smells alot like my first day of high school - a week and a day after Tommy left. I look down at my paper Dorm # 1 I dont see why they gave me a paper for # 1 an idiot could remember that. I noticed on the way in I'm the only black person here. Big adjustment from where I grew up I find my room and turn the knob.
