Instead of "Ghost Whisperer", there should be a Necromancer life state in which Necromancers can see ghosts and summon them back as zombies.

That's a neat idea! But! I don't think it would work because most Simmers are used to the base game as allowing all sims to see ghosts from the beginning. If we took that away from them and only gave the ability to one lifestate, that would create problems. Both in the game and in the community. It also would limit the types of ghost stories people could tell. Instead this way, you could make a witch and then start have them learning evil spells or whatever you wished and when they became evil enough, you could buy them the lifetime reward that would give them the ability to see ghosts...making them a full-fledged necromancer after he was able to zombify one.

This is a feature we are trying to implement rather late in TS3, so we're trying to keep it as simple as possible so that we have a chance of EA actually incorporating this into TS3. I don't think they would have the time to create another lifestate, plus they've already given us more than ever before in this EP.

It would be easier for them to just make a toggle box and a lifetime reward. IMO. Maybe they'll see this thread though and keep necromancers in mind for TS4! That might be fun to play!

I'm hoping I can get EA to see this thread and maybe implement these ideas. I have a feeling a lot more simmers are going to be experimenting with ghosts now that they're available straight from CAS, but they're going to get frustrated with how ghosts currently play.

Simply because of all of the freak outs that other sims do every time they see a ghost. Which is normal...I mean it's a freaking ghost! But at the same time, when they've lived with that ghost everyday for their entire adult life, it gets kind of ridiculous.

I like the idea of a ghost haunting someone's house and that sim not being able to see the ghost, just the evidence of the ghost's haunting, like floating coffee mugs, doors that open on their own. Etc...Then if you wanted you could get the sim the LTReward and they would suddenly be able to see the ghost that's been haunting their house.

I just sounds fun!

Yes brilliant idea! Haha, I used to watch Ghost Whisper all the time, and was very disappointed when it stopped.. Besides that, I think this is a genius idea, kids could see them t'ill they become a teen, (kinda like imaginary friends.. except just.. haha) then some sims (select, not all.) could see them for the rest of their lives! I love your ideas of the children being able to see ghosts. We are trying to keep this as simple as possible for EA and I don't want to ask too much of them by being picky on which sims can see ghosts and which can't. We're going to do a simple across the board all can or all cannot and then I am insisting that they keep the Ghost Whisperer or Sixth Sense thing a Lifetime Reward and not a trait.

If it was a trait it would limit the types of ghost stories simmers could tell. I would like to be able to have a supernatural skeptic that develops the ability to see ghosts later on in life. I couldn't do that if it was a trait, because supernatural fan would conflict with supernatural skeptic.

I would like to be able to put this ability on any sim, since the ability is already there in base game now. It would be a shame to have it take up a trait slot when there are so few of them.

Now that I've thought about it, I think a LTR would be better than a Trait, however there still SHOULD be a trait, that way people can start it from the beginning if they want to save their precious LTR points (lol ) And if they want it maybe a little more played out more, a trait would be a little better in some stories, but a LTR could be pretty good too, Supernatural Skeptic's dad died, you bought the LTR for the story, he started seeing ghosts now XD

I would like to have it as both a trait and a lifetime wish. I just wanted to keep this request as simple as possible so that it has a chance of EA implementing it. If they would do both a trait and a lifetime wish...I completely agree that it would be awesome!

I feel that there aren't enough slots available for traits. 5 isn't really that many to make complex sims. I was thinking simmers would get irritated if they had to use up a slot for a trait for something that they didn't need it for in the base game.

Though, I would love both options of making it a trait and a lifetime wish...that way in the game through story progression some sims might be born with the ability to see ghosts in town/townies. That's interesting.

Should I add it to the front page? A request that they could make it both a trait and lifetime reward? I will say that we would really like it, but if they can only do one we would prefer it to be a lifetime reward.

We just got to try to keep it simple so that this has a chance of actually being done.

Ok! I updated the first page to include a small request for EA to make both a lifetime reward and a trait. If they cannot do both, I asked that they do just the trait. But both would be muchly appreciated.

I'm creating a bump picture right now and also I'll be creating a banner to put in my signature. I would love it if the people that have signed the petition would also make banners for their signatures if they really want this idea implemented.

I will make some banners on my own though as best as I can and put them up on the front page so that anyone that wants one can put them up in their signatures and give our petition a little bit more exposure.
