So, I was just about to play my game, and I got the disc authorization error. I get it sometimes, I just restart the game and all is well. Well, this time, I went to restart the game only to discover that it had completely uninstalled itself. All of my CC/store files are still there, but the actual game isn't.

Two questions:

Has this happened to any of you?
Will all of my saves/items/CC be gone when I reinstall?

Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated.

So today I am trying to reinstall the game. The game keeps getting "stuck" at installing file 206 out of 237. I made sure to delete everything Sims related on my computer and start again, but still, it seems to be stuck at this install point. Any advice?

You can create a disk image of the game and install with that (note that you still need the original disc to boot the game). You can also check out the Installer troubleshooting guide for Macs at this link:
