I did read that some are having issues where they pick few fruits, then they have to delete -> put a new one down.

There's no solution to this, but to use a Mod.

My tree also does that. I have to use move objects on to delete the tree and replace it with a new one.

Also, I think you're right. The tree only seems to break when it's blue. It could be a coincidence, but now I'm not so sure.

Another thing that has happened to me is the Tree of Prosperity has disappeared from the buy catalog.
