I'm so excited about the new set that I can hardly stand it. Cooking/kitchen stuff and gardening are just about my favorite things to do so whenever we get new content in those areas I'm all over it like white on rice.

Unfortunately I'm at work too so all I can do is look at it right now.

Thank you for your new blog, and the new set too! I'm excited about the new premium items, but sadly will have to wait a while to get them.

But I'm enjoying looking at everyone's pics of them. Like Momminator, I love getting new cooking stuff - I love it when EP's have new recipes. So I can't wait to try the new fryer and ice cream maker when I finally buy them. They look pretty awesome.

The new set is very nice puts me in a happy place . only one question why does the ice cream machine get so dirty all the time? My family hadn't even used it yet and they had to clean it out before they could. Oh one more, will they be able to upgrade it to stop the constant cleaning?

I can just imagine the store team huddled around a computer after hours to read the comments here as the world wakes up and sees the newest Set and Compilation. The new food is just what many of us have been asking for and looks so fun. And the colors. THE COLORS! Kudos!

The international theme is obvious. Africa living room, India bedroom, Mexico kitchen . . . which country is next for the bath and spa?

Awww. I [b]LOVE[/b] your first blogpost SimGuruTaterTot! I especially like the way you guys are excited to hear what we think, and that you guys aren't robots. LOL. I feel a little guilty about that though. HAHA.

But yeah, you guys have done a really [size=14][b]spectacular[/b][/size] job this April! First was that luxurious Indian set, then this fun and whacky Mexican set.

The attention to detail you guys have put in all of them are really worth [i]every[/i] Simpoint we paid/pay for.

Really, two thumbs up for the Store Team! I really hope you guys continue on sending out awesome content.

I don't know, maybe it will grow on me? Probably not, that has never been my style and I don't like anything remotely Santa Fe style. I don't like the tile inlays on the countertops, or the designs on the arched window and doorway. I like the peppers/wall deco better from Fast Lane. These ones are fatter than carrots, they just don't look right. From what amjoie has posted, the fireplace is glitched, and I don't like the high attraction sims have toward the deep fryer and ice cream maker. I feel like if I were to turn my back on them for a moment, they'd all be happily obese and STILL putting away the ice cream. If the ice cream maker and fryer are fixed - I might consider getting those. I just don't like the rest of the set.

Good job on the blog post, thanks for the stick on the announcement as well.

I am in the middle of something in game so I can't test the new items out regarding the attraction factor and see about the fireplace for myself. I'll post back after I've used them.

I do thank you for the accompanying 'redesign my kitchen' post. I learned a lot and was inspired myself just reading through what is already there from what others have posted, whether I post myself (or not).

The number of items in the set was nice to see compared to the price overall, and of course the sale helped too.

I should warn you, I'm a completist type person. This is a great looking set, I just can't help but think even with all the pieces in it, there are a few things that are missing... Perhaps a future set or addition? Quick drink bar, double-wide archway, door...

Thanks for doing a blog and this too. I just think that the sets lately have really added colour in a big way to the Sims, especially the Indian Inspirations and this one. The colours are so vivid and bright and the detailing superb! I for one am happy.

I'd be even happier if it was true that the next EP was going to be mythological or fantasy based!

This is the first store content that I've bought in over a year- it really adds something to the game. Nice job!

I'm not so interested in endless variations on furniture and appliance meshes, but this was something really new. I especially like how the ice cream maker and the fryer work together when they make fried icecream- that was a nice touch- and the animations are good.

When you make 'premium' items with added gameplay, it's great when you put in trait-specific interactions with it.

Downloaded it but haven't tried it yet. It simply looks amazing! You guys have outdone yourselves in content and color.

I love the new food options and just adore the fact that you can make new flavors of icecream! I can't wait to play around with that. Thank goodness I saved up sim points.

I like the new set. The fireplace is great. Have not yet used the ice creamer maker or deep fryer but I am happy to have them in the game.
I wish you would have given us a new pattern to go with the set and a one tile curtain to match the two tile curtain. Thanks for the new set.

What a cute blog post! Your excitement is so infectious. Loved it. I used to build for an online game too and that first wave of players finding the new stuff was always such a rush. Except I could go invis and follow the players around to watch their reaction and you just get screenshots. Also my work could potentially (and frequently did if I made it right) slaughter "Sims". ROCKS FALL, EVERYBODY DIES: it's not just a life philosophy.

The stuff the Store's put out this past year is really good. The first year, it seems like Store stuff was really simplistic--lots of "hair helmet" and Ikea cylinder-and-rectangle furniture. I'm so impressed with the quality I'm seeing of late. These past two sets are really good. Whoever's doing them--you, your team--deserves massive kudos. Colorful, detailed, nice stencil options, good recolor options, hugely thematic--they're the whole package.

I just wish the premium content was trustworthy. I'm so bummed about my spellbook getting hit with that reset bug--I don't use CC, I do everything right, and at some point after my last reinstall it broke. And now I hear that the new premium stuff won't work if I use static needs and autonomy. Well, that's all I use. That bums me to no end. As charmed as I am by the new set, I just can't justify buying it till stuff is fixed. Feel free to touch base with me if you want me to send you the log files or save or whatever--I really want this fixed and am happy to volunteer to help test or whatever else you guys need.

Great idea of yours for the blog.
The ICE CREAM maker has issues.
1. It gets filthy too fast.
2. The newly created sims are drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
A sim Guru posted that it satisfies two things.
1. Hunger
2. Fun
I think that if the two new items could be modified by the Store Team, and they remove the Fun it could solve most of the Obsession issues.

Thanks for starting the Blog, its a great idea and I enjoyed reading it!

I love the new premium objects and have had a great time with them. I have one sim that seems a bit addicted to ice cream as his food of choice but the others in the house eat normally I can't blame him - I go for ice cream first when its in teh freezer too Maybe he has an ice cream lovers trait!

What really amazed me was the detail of the maple bacon ice cream or fried maple bacon ice cream - no step was skipped! They fry the bacon first to make the ice cream and then if you make the fried ice cream version go back to the fryer. I fully expected it to be the same as the reg ice cream with the animations instead of the bacon being fried first for an ingredient... that was great work!

One small problem I do seem to have is that if you give them the command to make ice cream or fry something and give a secondary command like to read a book they will stop using the appliances - the command will disappear and they go off to do the next thing in line. No big problem I just know not to give another command until they eat their ice cream or fried treat, but not sure why we can line it up with other commands - was this on purpose?

They get some good cooking experience with this set too!

Really, I would love to see more returning pre-made sims from previous games, seeing familiar names and faces always male me smile....

I love the sets for the last few months. I did have a weird thing happen,though. I wanted the counter that was more yellow and I put one down. I moved something else and went back to place more counters and the yellow would turn blue. I,then, used the cloning tool and it was also blue. I can't seem to get the other color.
